Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. MATECHS is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

The site is designed to be navigable with a keyboard.

Design

The overall design has been adapted to be easily readable, taking into consideration: font size, paragraph width, font and background colors. We take a consistent approach to always ensure readability and be compliant with accessibility standards.
The website allows zooming to make the text bigger or smaller with your browser. You can use your keyboard ctrl and + to zoom in and ctrl and – to zoom out, or the options within your browser.

Images and Infographics

We always provide alternative text for non-background images, and a transcript to be read by screen readers for infographics.

Links

We make sure that the text on each link or button is written to clearly explain where you will go after clicking the link.

Third party providers

Some of the features are provided by third party providers. If possible, we ensure they follow our accessibility standards.
